Le Chapeau Qui Rit Blanc 2018

Grape Variety: Predominantly Colombard with a touch of Ugni Blanc.

From Côtes de Gascogne just south and inland from Bordeaux. Around 30 years ago they started making zingy whites by combining the rather dull Ugni Blanc with the more aromatic Colombard. Fermented in steel and bottled early to maximise freshness.

 

Le Chapeau Qui Rit Rouge 2018

Grape Variety: Grenache and Carignan

From Herault to the east of its white cousin, right on the Med with plenty of sunshine giving a delicious ripeness to the wine. The blend of grapes provides a crunchy yet light wine with soft flavours of redcurrant, cherry and a hint of smoke on the finish.
