Now very much in demand as a public speaker on such subjects such as King Richard III and the History of the BBC, Dave has recently joined the Board of Trustees for Steps, the charity which A Question of Brains supports. Dave is a Deputy Lieutenant of Leicestershire.

A Danish-born Ceramics historian Lars Tharp has, since 1986, been a regular ‘face’ on the BBC Antiques Roadshow. Though his numerous other TV and Radio credits include two acclaimed films on China, Lars still savours the 2014 triumph of his own 2014 University Challenge (Alumni) team (Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge). Schooled at Wyggeston, Lars is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and a Deputy Lieutenant of Leicestershire.

Singing duo Belle Voci were finalists on ITV’s The Voice UK in 2018. Emily Burnett and Sophie Rowland have since taken the classical world by storm; they’ve had a classical No.1, have performed the national anthem at Wembley stadium for the FA Cup Final and have supported their idol Alfie Boe OBE in concert.
